July – the favorite time of the year for vacations. With current economic conditions, perhaps this year you are foregoing the vacation to distant places and relaxing in your own backyard. Whether you are heading for the nearest ocean, a nearby lake, or your backyard pool, an essential ingredient in your summer tote bag is that great beach read. Once again, the Tyrone Snyder Public Library has got you covered. Instead of paying out your hard-earned money for one book, stop by the library before you are off for the week, the week-end, or the day to check out the great variety of good books available to our patrons.

These books may be available locally or through the Blair County Library system. The Library and its staff are anxious to provide our patrons with up-to-date reading choices. Perhaps instead of spending $10-$30 dollars at a book store for one book, you will consider donating that money to the library, your source for countless books!
Notice to our Summer Reading Program participants: Express Yourself Summer Art Camp originally scheduled for next week has been rescheduled for August. Check with the library for the exact dates.
Visitors to the library using our computers will notice a change for the better. We have recently changed internet service providers and have upgraded the service for our patrons. Computer users will notice a marked increase in speed when searching the internet.
