Drug paraphernalia found
State police reported on March 17 that a bag containing drug paraphernalia was found along I-99, near the Plank Road northbound acceleration ramp in Logan Twp. Any person with any information or wishing to claim the items is asked to contact state police.

Attempted burglary
On March 24, state police reported that an unknown actor attempted to gain entry into a building owned by Hostler’s Auto Body, Inc., along SR 1001 near the intersection with Stadium Dr. in Antis Twp. The actor broke the handle on the door while trying to gain entry. Estimated damage was $50. Any person with information is asked to contact state police.

Crash
State police reported on March 29 a two car crash that occurred along I-99 north at the Grazierville Exit. The crash occurred as the Chevrolet Blazer driven by Craig Steven Brandt of Tyrone was traveling south in the northbound lanes of I-99, and struck a Ford Mustang being operated by Dianne Havirilla of Gibsonia head on, as Havirilla was traveling north in the northbound lane. After impact, the Mustang traveled approximately 45 feet north, coming to rest in the median facing west. The Blazer continued to travel south for approximately 66 feet, rolled onto its roof, and slid an additional 32 feet, coming to rest along the west shoulder facing east. Both drivers were transported from the scene by AMED ambulance to the Altoona Hospital, where they were treated for moderate injuries sustained in the crash. Both drivers were wearing safety belts. The crash is under investigation.

Indecent assault
On March 29, state police reported an indecent assault in the Tipton area when Timothy Warren Albright, 42, Tyrone kissed a known 20-year-old female victim on the neck while she was sitting down. As the female victim stood up, Albright grabbed her and shoved his hand down her shirt, consequently touching her breast. Charges were filed at District Court 24-3-01.
