Tyrone Hospital officials have announced that Mr. George Berger has resigned from his position as Chief Financial officer (CFO).
Berger has served as Tyrone’s CFO since January, 2004. His resignation will be effective at the end of October.
“We appreciate the years of service Mr. Berger has given to Tyrone Hospital and the community,” said Stanley Ayers, President of the Board of Directors. “His professional experience and management style have served us well.”
Walter Van Dyke, CEO, said, “I regret that we are losing George. He has been a hard working and respected member of senior leadership during his tenure at Tyrone Hospital. We wish him the best in his future endeavors.”
Tyrone Hospital is a critical access hospital that provides general medical and surgical care, twenty-four hour emergency care, and a variety of outpatient diagnostics services.
The hospital provides primary physician care through Tyrone Medical Associates and more than seventy-five affiliated physicians including primary care physicians and a variety of specialists. The hospital also operates Tyrone Medical Associates, a provider based primary care clinic.
Special services include the Interim Care Program which provides short term skilled care, ProCare Rehabilitation at Tyrone Hospital, and the Keystone Headache and Pain Management Center.
Established in 1954, Tyrone Hospital employs approximately 167 people.
