Tony DeRosso hit a grand slam during Altoona’s five-run sixth inning to lead the Curve to a 7-4 win over the Akron Aeros on Sunday in the Eastern League.

Aeros starter Cliff Lee had allowed only a hit and a walk entering the sixth. He opened the inning by giving up two singles and a walk.
After Shawn Garrett’s RBI single, Lee struck out two. DeRosso worked the count full, then hit his eighth homer to make it 5-1.

Altoona added two in the ninth on Shaun Skrehot’s home run.
Ryan Church, Jhonny Peralta and Scott Pratt hit solo home runs for the Aeros.
Justin Reid (8-5) got the win, allowing three runs — two earned — on six hits and three walks in seven innings. Clint Chrysler gave up a run over two innings for his second save.

Lee (9-3 with a league-best 123 Ks) took the loss.
