Two different Daily Herald Christmas contests lead to some cash and a train under the tree for three area children. In The Daily Herald’s annual Santa’s Gift Guide ten different business sponsored advertisements featured the image of a Tyrone Christmas train. Tabitha Robison of Tyrone found all ten of the trains, completed her form and was drawn the winner yesterday.
She recieves a Bachman HO scale American train for under her christmas tree for years to come.
Our annual Christmas color contest featured a winner from two different age groups.
Mikayla Fisher of Tyrone proved she was a great artist as her coloring of old St. Nick stood out to the judges as the best in her age group for children between the ages of five and seven. Her picture was sponsored by Warriors Mark Auto World.
Ten year old Marissa Damiand was visiting with her grandmother in Bellwood and cheered herself up by coloring a beautiful Christmas flower and it was chosen as the best of the Herald staff. Marissa’s picture was sponsored by Ace Hardware on Logan Avenue in Tyrone.
Both girls have won $50.00 to spend on last minute christmas presents. Congratulations to Tabitha, Mikayla and Marissa from all of us at The Daily Herald.
