In action reported before the Daily Herald went to print, Thad Westley, Tyrone junior dropped a close 4-2 decision to Zac Sheldon of Wyalusing. In the first round cosolation, set to begin this afternoon at 12:30, Westley will meet Tom Brambley of Everett, who dropped a 5-4 vrdict to Nick McElhinny of Cochranton.
The match that made the most noise early came at 119, when Ryan Storm of Donegal, surprised returning champion Jake Strayer of Forest Hills with a fall in 2:15. Strayer led 4-0 after the first period, but Storm, starting the second period on the bottom, reversed Strayer to his back for the quick fall.
