Indecent assault/interfering with the custody of children
2/28 – State police in Huntingdon report that while on stationary patrol, a motorist approached a trooper and advised him that a vehicle was parked in an area along state Route 453 in Warrrior Mark Township where it should not have been parked.
As the trooper was approaching the vehicle, it pulled out and the trooper followed it. The vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign and the trooper stooped the vehicle.
He observed a 49-year-old Huntingdon man and a 14-year-old girl from Ashland, Ohio. He questioned both individuals.
The trooper said the answers did not seem appropriate. The juvenile was taken into custody and the 49-year-old male was requested to follow the trooper to PSP Huntingdon.
The investigation is continuing.
