Minor vehicle accident
3/23 – State police in Hollidaysburg were called to state Route 4027 in the village of Grazierville, Snyder Township, at 5:08 a.m. to investigate an accident.
Police said Ruth Ann Miner of Tyrone was northbound at an apparent high rate of speed. While rounding a curve, Miner lost control of her Ford Probe. Police said the vehicle began to go broadside and traveled across the center turn and the southbound lane of SR 4027. The vehicle then left the roadway and traveled into a drainage ditch.
Police were assisted at the scene by Citizens Volunteer Fire Dept. and AMED Ambulance.
Miner suffered minor injuries and refused medical treatment at the scene.

Student assault
3/24 – State police in Huntingdon report a 13-year-old student was arrested for aggravated assault after assaulting staff at Southern Huntingdon High School. Charges were filed through the Huntingdon Co. Juvenile Probation Department.

Leaving the scene
Robert J. Carolus, 32 of Alexandria, left the scene of an accident on foot this past Sunday, according to State Police in Huntingdon. Police report that Carolus lost control of his Dodge Intrepid while trying to negociate a turn traveling west on Route 305 about 2:30 a.m. The Dodge vehicle left the roadway on the eastbound berm and struck two trees. According to State Police Carolus was not injured and was later located. He told State Police he was wearing his seatbelt. Damage to the Dodge automobile was severe.
