Raising money for its Truck Fund and fire fighting equipment, some members of the Hookies Fire Co., barbecue chicken for its annual event and Open House held Saturday. Watching over some 200 chicken halves as they cook over the fire, from left are Jamie Decker, Lieutenant Chip Dillon and Assistant Chief JR Watson. Lieutenant Chip Dillon and Tom Mayes are busy filling barbecue chicken dinner orders during Open House held by the Hookies Fire Company Saturday. The 200 dinners were gone by 1:30 p.m. as the firemen then turned their full attention to explaining and showing off their equipment to the many folks who dropped by.
