Congratulations to Greg Morris and his team of investors who are putting $100 million of private capital into Blair County. The plans for Logan Town Centre show a beautiful facility that will bring business to the county. My hopes are that the weather cooperates and we will be there next year for the grand opening.
Congratulations to the Wolf family who has continued to invest in our area. Wolf Furniture held its ribbon cutting on its new expansion for the distribution center in Bellwood. The distribution center services the Wolf Furniture stores that covers the four-state region served by the company.
We are getting closer to signatures appearing on contracts. The word from one of my anonymous sources is that things are expected to happen in the middle of June. Keep reading The Daily Herald for more information.
It was a pleasure to work with Bill Harshman this past weekend to create the insert celebrting the 150th anniversary of St. Matthew Catholic Church. The many hours that he put into the project ahead of time, made my efforts really easy. Congrats to the congregation of St. Matt’s on 150 years.
Today is election day and there are many key races that could be decided in today’s primary election. Take the time out of your day and vote. Your vote can make a difference.
In tomorrow’s Daily Herald, get the complete primary election results of the Tyrone Borough Council, Snyder Township supervisors, Antis Township supervisors, Tyrone Area School Board, Northern Blair County district magistrate, Blair County commissioner and Blair County judge races.
Congratulations to the Bellwood-Antis Blue Devil baseball team who defeated Mount Union last night 5-3. The Blue Devils will host West Branch on Thursday for an opportunity to advance to the District VI Class A Championship.
Construction has stopped on my ark after two sunny mornings in a row. Let’s hope for some sunshine for a while.
Stay off the sidewalks. Christi Alley now has her learner’s permit. That is the word from her mother. Thankfully, I don’t travel in Tipton too often.
Enjoy your week, and we’ll talk next Tuesday.
