Mothers around the community were honored at the Concert Choir and POPS Extension spring concert entitled “A Celebration: Mother’s Day concert” held in the high school auditorium at 2:00 p.m. on May 11th.
The concert was divided into six celebratory sections: “To Celebrate Life,” “To Celebrate God and Country,” “To Celebrate Broadway,” “To Celebrate Friends,” and a finale celebrating the success of Tyrone’s spring musical: Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
As part of the celebration of mothers and seniors, the choral seniors were asked to bring in a baby picture as well as a senior picture to be used in a slide show. These slides were displayed during a song dedicated to mothers entitled “Turn Around.”
Soloists for the varying songs included: Morgann Davis, Evan Kost, Jenn Verbickas, Melody Garthwaite, Josh Shaffer, Rebecca Mogle, Mat Wirtner, Kesha Ellenberger, Rochelle Campbell, Stephanie Catich, Alicia Rodriguez, Erika Latchford, and Ron Muccitelli. Jenn Verbickas sang a featured solo entitled, “I’ll Remember You” by Leann Rimes.
