A number of Tyrone teams were amongst a record number of 82 teams at the Blair County Relay For Life fundraising event in Mansion Park this weekend.
The 24-hour walk to benefit the American Cancer Society raised more than $305,000 – more than $20,000 more than last year.
Sheetz Inc. gathered more than $23,000 this year, making it the Relay’s highest raising team. Last year’s top fundraising team, Spring Cove School District, finished second this year with a little more than $22,000.
