Police report that someone threw trash in the hallway of an apartment building. Police advised that the landlord would have to secure the door so no one could get inside during the night.

Doris Schiller reported to police that a Bergmeier garbage truck lost some garbage along Washington Avenue and Old Route 220. Police checked the area, but did not find any garbage. Police also attempted to contact the hauler, but could not.

Police received a call concerning a juvenile causing problems at the community pool. Police advised the youngster not to return to the pool or he would be cited for trespassing.

Police received a report from a Bald Eagle Avenue resident stating that when she returned home last Tuesday, her front door was unlatched and she thought she heard someone upstairs. Police checked the home with negative results. Nothing appeared to be missing.

Police received a report of found baseball cards in the Bellwood area.

Police were called to Blair Avenue at 9:41 p.m. last Tuesday for a dispute between residents.
According to police, the parties were fighting because of legal fireworks.
Police advised juveniles to clean up the mess and go in for the night. Police also said John Updike would be cited for disorderly conduct because he would not go inside.

Harry Updike reported at 9:41 p.m. last Tuesday that M-80s were going off. Police were dispatched to the previous incident first, which involved the complainant and his family. Police advised that periodic checks would be made.

Malen Murray reported to police that kids were setting off fireworks and one landed on a car, but caused no damage. The complainant told the responding officers that kids were at Shea Field in a tent.
Police made contact with the kids and they were advised not to set off any more fireworks and that camping was prohibited on private property.

Bonnie Miller reported to police that her 1987 Chevy Blazer was entered overnight last Tuesday while it was parked on West Eleventh Street. Stolen was a blue nylon pouch with her driver’s license and motorcycle registration inside. Police said the vehicle was left unlocked.
Miller phoned police minutes later and informed them the purse and other items were found in an alley.

Lydia Booker reported to police at 1:36 p.m. Wednesday of fireworks being set off in the area of Blair Square. She told officers she would like more patrolling of the area due to her dog’s heart condition.

Tracy Gardner reported to police that someone stole her sons bike off the front porch of her home.
Police made contact with an 11-year-old girl at the Tyrone Pool who said she took the bike, but planned on returning it.

Police are continuing to investigate an assault that occurred at the corner of Pennsylvania Avenue and Cottage Street at 5:51 p.m. Wednesday. Police said juveniles were involved.

At 12:46 a.m. Wednesday, police received a report of someone setting off fireworks in the 1300 block of Pennsylvania Avenue. The area was checked with negative results.

While on patrol at 1:33 a.m. Wednesday, police discovered two vehicles in the parking lot of the Good Shepherd Church. Upon further investigation, police said two individuals were having a dispute. A breath test was administered to one of the individuals and the test was positive. A citation will be filed.

Police report two 17-year-olds will be cited or curfew violations after officers spotted them at Alley F and 12th Street at 2:06 a.m. Wednesday. Police said they fled on foot, but officers found them hiding near Ace Hardware.

Police report a male in his 60s was exposing his genitals in public place at 2:53 p.m. Thursday. Police continue to investigate.

Kim Novak reported to police that there was excessive loud music at Logan Ridge around lot 46 at 5:30 p.m. Thursday. Police checked the area, but found nothing.

The manager of Burger King phoned police at 7 p.m. Thursday asking that the parking lot be cleared. Officers made contact with several individuals who were leaving the area.

Police received a report of a known man abusing a cat by throwing it up against a truck then out onto the roadway. Police contact the humane society, who picked up with the cat. Charges will be filed. The cat died.

Angela Hewitt reported to police that someone was setting off fireworks at 9:36 p.m. in the area of the railroad tracks. Police made contact with individuals setting off sparklers. The officer told those involved to keep the noise down. Nothing else was found in the area.

Erica Moore reported to police that someone was shooting paint balls at houses in the area of 18th Street and Graystone Court at 10:39 p.m. Thursday. Police checked the area, but found nothing.

Ken Shaw reported to police that someone threw an M-80 underneath his vehicle at 10:23 p.m. Thursday, but no damage was caused. He wanted police to check the area.

Police made contact with a group of individual who were allegedly setting off fireworks in the street at 10:57 p.m. Thursday. Officers said the large group denied setting off the fireworks, but said they would clean the trash off the street.

Patricia Woomer reported to police that a trailer was struck with fireworks and damage was caused. Officers made contact with the owner who said an empty Mountain Dew can filled with rocks is what caused the damage.
According to police, those who caused the damage were gone upon police arrival.

Police report Justin Keller was caught by a Sheetz employee trying to steal two packs gum and pack of pumpkin seeds at 10:48 p.m. Thursday. He was cited for retail theft.

Police received a report from Tyrone man claiming that he was stabbed at 1304 Pennsylvania Ave. Upon speaking with witnesses, police said the man cut himself.

Police report finding a cell phone in the parking lot of Choice at 11:38 p.m. Thursday. Police contacted the owner of the item.

Chris Keller phoned police at 11:15 p.m. Thursday stating he heard loud noises – possibly fireworks. Police advised they would make periodic checks of the area.

While on patrol at 12:22 a.m. Friday, police observed fireworks going off in front of 1364 Pennsylvania Avenue. Police made contact with Wilbur Miller, who denied it.
Police learned of an outstanding warrant against Miller. Police contacted the sheriff’s department.

A female juvenile was cited for a curfew violation at 2:20 a.m. Friday after police observed her walking. Police attempted to make contact with the girl, but she ran. Police later caught the girl and transported her home. Police said she was not drinking alcohol.

Police received a report of someone dumpster diving at Save-A-Lot at 8:05 p.m. Thursday. Police checked the area and made contact with an older male who said he was urinating. The manager of the store said the man was in the dumpster. Police advised they would make periodic checks of the area.

Police stopped a 19-year-old man for a traffic violation at 1:01 a.m. Saturday on Washington Avenue for going the wrong way on a one-way street. Police said the driver had a suspended license.
The driver parked the car and walked. Citations are pending.

Tara Moore reported to police that two dogs were running loose around the houses. Police located the dogs and their owners were not at home. Police said they were in New York.
Neighbors placed the dogs back in their pen.

Jessica Grazier reported to police at 4:55 p.m. Saturday that someone used her name and social security number to purchase four cell phones from Sprint. She received a $596.62 bill.

Sand McMillen stopped at the police station at 6:58 p.m. Saturday with her sister Karen’s purse. She said the her sister accidentally left it in her car. The lady was very upset.
The owner of the purse picked it up hours later.

Terra Filer reported to police at 7:59 p.m. Saturday that a woman known to her hit her in the eye. A harassment citation will be issued.

A woman reported to police that her daughter was assaulted on Pennsylvania Avenue Sunday by an adult known to her. Police said the victim is a juvenile and was walking with a friend when the assault occurred. The victim was treated for minor injuries.

Police found two unoccupied vehicles at Reservoir Park in front of the pond at 12:47 a.m. Sunday. Police checked the area on foot and found the individuals in the park. They were advised the park was closed and were sent on their way.

Robert Mull was given a warning by police at 3:23 a.m. that his vehicle was sitting too low. Mull stated that his suspension gave out on him in his 1995 Lincoln.

Clyde Hewett reported to police that tools were taken out of his vehicle when it was parked in an alley in the 700 block of Washington Avenue at 11:11 p.m. Sunday. Hewett found all his tools down the street along side the road. The complainant did not want anything done about the situation.

Police responded to Hamilton Avenue at 7:33 p.m. Sunday for an activated alarm. Residents there said the alarm was tripped accidentally.

Police were requested to make periodic checks of a residence because juveniles were harassing a man with a heart condition.

While on foot patrol at 11:38 p.m., police found two juveniles riding bikes on the sidewalks of Tenth Street and Logan Avenue. Police made contact with both juveniles and they were advised to go directly home. If seen again, they will be cited.
Huntingdon state police
Police report someone entered onto the property of the Warriors Mark Volunteer Fire Department between midnight and 10 a.m. on Sunday and removed an undetermined amount of property.
