The Bellwood-Antis junior high girls basketball team dropped their season opener on Tuesday.
Playing at Spring Mills, the Lady Blue Devils (0-1) were fronted by a game-high 13 points from Liz Erickson, but the B-A junior high girls couldn’t get enough support for Erickson as only three girls were able to break into the scoring column. Lechner added six points and Lender had five.
Penns Valley (1-0) was led by 12 points by Levan.
The B-A junior high, coached by Steve Conlon and asistant Chris Walker, travel to Mount Union on Thursday for their second road game in a row.
