Tomorrow and Sunday is the annual Harvestfest at DelGrossos Amusement Park, with shopping beginning at 10 a.m. and rides opening at 11 a.m.
Admission is $3, which includes all-day rides. Children under three years of age are admitted for free.
Free parking is available in the main DelGrosso’s Amusement Park parking lot. Through PPG, additional parking will be available in the field off of Tipton Road for a fee of $3. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Bellwood-Antis cheerleaders.
The Harvestfest menu of foods includes a variety of treats from vendors across the area. Just some examples include: chicken wings from the Greenwood Volunteer Fire Company; freshly dipped caramel apples and fudge from the Tyrone Regional Arts Council; sloppy joe sandwiches and blooming onions from the First Lutheran Church and homemade apple dumplings from The Lighthouse.
Participants are encouraged to bring a lawn chair to enjoy both days which are full of entertainment.
Saturday’s entertainers include: Richard Benninghoff, Midway Magic; Balloons with Enchantment; The Dazzling Mills Family; T-Bone and R.T. and the Earthtones.
Sunday’s entertainers include: Richard Benninghoff, Midway Magic; Balloons with Enchantment; The Dazzling Mills Family; T-Bone and Your Dad’s Friends. Also on Sunday there will be a classic car show provided by members of the Allegheny Mountain Region Antique Automobile Club of America.
Both Saturday and Sunday there will be a petting zoo. Also there will be a Civil War Encampment Battle with re-enactments at 1 p.m., 3 p.m., and 5 p.m. daily.
Both days will be full of crafts, food and entertainment which can be enjoyed by all who attend Harvestfest at DelGrosso’s Amusement Park.
Corporate hosts for Harvestfest include: Pacifico, Pepsi, Lee FoodService and Kunzler.
