The Blair County Office of Penn State Cooperative Extension is seeking a few candidates for its volunteer board from the Tyrone and/or Sinking Valley area of Blair County.
Penn State Cooperative Extension is a grassroots organization that utilizes a community-based board to govern its educational outreach activities in Blair County. Candidates for election to the Blair County Extension Board should have an interest in the 4-H Youth program, the Family Living Program, and/or the Production/Agriculture/Commercial Horticulture Program.
Candidates for the Extension Board will be presented for election at the Nov. 6 Blair County Extension Annual meeting in Williamsburg. The successful candidates will serve a 3-year term and will agree to attend seven meetings a year.
