The Bellwood-Antis junior high girls basketball team traveled to Flinton to face Glendale on Thursday. The Lady Blue Devils blitzed Glendale 29-7 to improve to 10-5 for head coach Steve Conlon.
Liz Erickson spearheaded the attack for the Lady Blue Devils with a game-high15 points. Lauren Lender added six points and Brittany Webb had five points.
“Our defense has been really tough the last two games,” acknowledged coach Conlon. “Liz Erickson was just dominating under the basket. She probably could have scored 20 more points. Lauren Lender was great on defense for us tonight. She was all over the floor leading our full-court press, hustling and getting a bunch of steals.”
Bellwood-Antis plays Juniata Valley on Tuesday in their only game of the week at home. Game time is set for 6 p.m.
