Tyrone Hospital officials have announced that Jeffery C. Longbrake has joined the hospital as Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
A native of Ohio, Mr. Longbrake is a seasoned executive with more than twenty-five years of experience in healthcare in a variety of both clinical and administrative positions.
Most recently, Mr. Longbrake was chief financial officer at St. Francis Healthcare Centre in Green Springs, Ohio. Prior to that experience, he was CFO and controller at H.B. Magruder Hospital and held a variety of position with Pro Medical Health System.
In addition, Mr. Longbrake is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Findlay Graduate School of Business. His educational background includes a Master of Business Administration from the University of Findlay and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Heidelberg College.
“Right now we are working towards a smooth transition in leadership and continued stewardship of the organization,” said Mr. Longbrake. “I will be working closely with the board of directors, medical staff, and employees to address the needs of Tyrone Hospital and the community.”
As interim CFO, Mr. Longbrake will remain with Tyrone Hospital to provide financial leadership until a permanent CFO is in place. On Monday, the hospital’s board of directors voted to seek new leadership for the positions of chief executive officer and chief financial officer. Tyrone Hospital’s board of directors has appointed a search committee to recruit new executive officers.
Tyrone Hospital is managed by Quorum Health Resources (QHR), a national healthcare management company. Michael Halstead, QHR Group vice president is overseeing the hospital’s daily activities until an interim chief executive officer is assigned.
