The Tyrone Area High School volleyball team traveled to Ebensburg on Tuesday evening to battle Windber in first round action of the District VI volleyball tournament.
The Lady Eagles of coach Dave Eckberg fell in three games, 25-7, 25-17 and 25-9 to end their season 6-11.
Junior Katie Whitby led the Lady Eagles with assists. Stephanie Catich had three service points, Sarah Mease had six digs and Emily Lloyd had three kills for Tyrone.
Windber improves their season record to 19-2 with the win.
