Mrs. Dora Ellen Clark, age 78, of 3134 Pennington Road, RD 4, Tyrone died Friday, November 7, 2003 at 12:25 a.m. at Tyrone Hospital.
She was born December 8, 1924 in West Decatur, PA the daughter of Harold and Ruby Katherine McDowell Bush. On October 24, 1943 she was married to James O. Clark who survives. Also surviving four children- Carol Hotchkiss, Whitehall, PA; James R., Tyrone; Cynthia and husband Barry Brinkman, Waynesboro and David A. and wife Rebecca, Tyrone; eight grandchildren- Brian and Laura Hotchkiss; Adam and Kelly Clark; Matthew Brinkman; and Ryan, Christopher and Andrew Clark; two great-grandchildren- Briana Jordan and Alexander Hotchkiss. Also surviving are two brothers and a sister- Harold Walker, Hyde; John William Bush, North Wales, PA and Beverly Jean Creamer, Altoona.
Mrs. Clark was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and attended the Spring Mount Church of the Brethren. She was a 1942 graduate of Altoona High School. She retired in 1999 from the Tyrone News Agency after 20 years service and had previously been employed by the Fink Drug Store and L & M Store. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting and watching her grandchildren play sports.
Funeral service for Dora Ellen Clark will be Monday, November 10, 2003 at 11 a.m. at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home, Inc. with Reverend Warren MacEachern officiating. Interment will be in Spring Mount Cemetery.
