Estella Chencharick, 69, Bald Eagle, Box 259, Tyrone RR 3, died Monday afternoon, December 8, 2003 at her home.
She was born February 25, 1934, in Smith Mills, a daughter of the late Wasco and Catherine (Luciew) Temchack. She married George Chencharick on July 5, 1952 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Houtzdale.
Mrs. Chencharick is survived by her husband; two daughters: Judy Chencharick of Memphis, TN, and Terry McQullin and husband, Scott of Naples, FL; a son: Scott and wife, Teri of Philipsburg; two grandchildren: Brittany and Jesse Chencharick; four brothers: Frank Temchack and wife Lois, Vladimere Temchack, Wasco Temchack all of Spring Mills, and Stanley Temchack of Ashland, OH; four sisters: Madeline Taber of Normal, IL, Arlene Fulmar and husband, Norman of Detroit, MI, Helen Chencharick and Ann (Connie) Temchack, both of Tyrone.
She was preceded in death by brothers, John and Metro and sister, Marie Negri.
She was employed as a seamstress at Big Yank, Tyrone from 1962 until its closing. She retired as a sales associate at Walmart, Altoona with five years of service.
Mrs. Chencharick was a member of First English Lutheran Church, Tyrone.
She enjoyed shopping anywhere, anytime. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking, traveling and most of all her grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 11, 2003 at Richard H. Searer Funeral Home, Inc., Tyrone and also from 9:30 until the 10:30 a.m. time of funeral service, Friday, Dec. 12, 2003 at First English Lutheran Church, Tyrone with Pastor TM Talbot-Moses officiating.
Interment at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township.
