For the last 25 years, Tyrone Moose Lodge No. 25 has been preparing Christmas meals for people all over the region.
This year was perhaps the biggest.
All in all, nearly 250 meals were served, including 189 that were delivered by two dozen volunteers who made the event possible.
Leading the event was Joe McMullin. He, along with the other volunteers, divided up the responsibilities to make the event a success. Some cooked, others loaded the meals into the military vehicles supplied by the Tyrone National Guard Armory, while others helped take meals to the tables of the 40 some residents who decided to stop by to enjoy the feast.
According to McMullin, there were 16, 20-pound turkeys; seven 15-pound hams; 175 pounds of potatoes and 40 pounds of filling.
