John Jason Hirt, 34, of RR 5 Box 231, Tyrone, Tipton, died unexpectedly Saturday afternoon, Jan. 10, 2004 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.
He was born Jan. 21, 1969 in Altoona, a son of John F. and Jeanette K. (Kesser) Hirt.
Mr. Hirt is survived by his father of Tyrone, RD 5; his mother of Altoona; a brother, Todd A. and wife Debbie of Claysville; a sister, Beth Ann Hirt and husband Damian Futrick of Tyrone, RD 5; nieces and nephews, Tyne Weston, Jordan Futrick, Alexis and Wyatt Hirt; grandmother, Eldean Hirt and great-grandmother, Rachel Cherry, both of Tipton.
Jason enjoyed participating in the Special Olympics. He also enjoyed bowling and swimming.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing.
A celebration of Jason’s life will be held with a memorial service at 2 p.m., Wednesday Jan. 14, 2004 at the Jon C. Russin Funeral Home in Bellwood with Pastor David Ervine officiating.
Friends will be received from 1 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at the funeral home.
