Miss Alice Emily Orwick, 88, of 252 Wecuwa Dr., Fort Myers, Florida died at 10:06 p.m. Saturday, January 31, 2004 at the Lee Memorial Health System, Fort Myers, Fla.
She was born March 29, 1915 at Port Matilda, Pa, a daughter of William H. and Grace M. (Newman) Orwick.
She is survived by a daughter, Beryl A. McCaulley of Fort Myers, Florida and State College. A grandson, Curtis Settle and wife Cindy of Blue Knob. Six nieces: five in Lorain, Ohio and one in South Bend, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by a sister Carrie Maurer of Elyria, Ohio; a brother Clair S. Orwick of State College, and a nephew William Maurer.
She was a member of the Port Matilda Lions Club and the Half Moon Grange.
She loved to travel and enjoyed long car rides.
She retired from Sylvania Electronics as a tester in units after 33 years service.
Funeral service will be held Friday, February 6, 2004 at 11 a.m. at the Mount Pleasant Methodist Church, RD Port Matilda, PA, with Rev. Patricia Gable officiating. Interment will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the Derman Funeral Home, Inc., Tyrone, Thursday evening 7-9 and one hour before the service at the Mount Pleasant Methodist Church.
