Mr. Robert W. Sitman, Sr., 74, of North Fourth St., Bellwood, died Friday morning, March 12, 2004 at his home.
He was born Feb. 27, 1930 in Bellwood, a son of the late Harry D. and Esther W. (Schroeder) Sitman.
Mr. Sitman is survived by his wife of 55 years, Christine (Pedro) and children: Margaret Campbell and husband David of Newark DE; Esther Shock of Bellwood; Robert W. Jr. and wife Beth of New Florence; Alex and wife Deb of Bellwood and Chris and wife Sherry of Amberson.
He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, all of whom he loved.
Mr., Sitman is also survived by a sister, Margaret Markel and husband John of Monroeville; a brother James B. and wife Nancy of Bellwood and his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers: William S. and Harry M.
Mr. Sitman retired in 1989 as a tooling supervisor at PPG industries, Tipton with 23 years of service.
He was a life member of the Bellwood Sportsmen, the National Rifle Association and the Excelsior Fire Company, Bellwood.
Mr. Sitman enjoyed woodworking, old furniture restoration, target shooting and reloading ammunition.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, March 14 at the Jon C. Russin Funeral Home with the Rev. David H. Roesch officiating.
Committal at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood.
