The students of Dance Fusion are scheduled to present a recital this Saturday at the Tyrone High School auditorium.
Doors open at 6 p.m., and the recital is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 and will be available at the door.
According to Dance Fusion proprietor and dance instructor Lindsay Folk, 105 students, ages three and up, will be performing on Saturday.
Students will show a wide variety of dance styles during the recital, including: ballet, tap, jazz, pointe, hip hop, lyrical, modern, belly dance and tiny tumblers.
Also, Folk will be offering a summer workshop for students ages three to 18 years of age, June 21-24 at the Dance Fusion studio located on Tenth Street in Tyrone.
During the workshop, different age groups will concentrate on different styles of dance, such as creative movement, ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop and lyrical.
All students interested in auditioning for the dance competition team must attend the workshop.
Also, every Wednesday in July, Folk will be offering “Summer Dance Experience.” A different style of dance will be presented every week so prospective students can see if they really like dance or not.
Open house registration for prospective new students will then be held sometime in August. However, if anyone is interested, they may call Folk at Dance Fusion to be added to the mailing list at any time.
