State police investigating Snyder Township incidents

Hollidaysburg-based state police are investigating two separate incidents that occurred in Snyder Township this week.
On Monday evening, police report someone broke into the kitchen area at Camp Anderson, a Boy Scout camp in Snyder Township, around midnight.
Items missing include several packs of hamburger, hot dogs and keilbasa.
Police said the Keilbasa was quickly recovered.
“Since the thieves tok only meat and no buns, it is believed the suspects are on the Atkins Diet, or just really hard pressed for BBQ fixins’,” said investigating officer Doug Jenkins.
Also, police are investigating a mugging that occurred between 12:30 – 1 a.m. on Tuesday.
Police said 21-year-old Jeremy Lynn Wike of Tyrone was walking along Thomastown Road in Snyder Township when five unknown males, dressed in black clothing with masks, assaulted him and took two photographs from his wallet.
Wike was treated at Tyrone Hospital and released.
Anyone with information concerning either of these two crimes are encouraged to contact 696-6100.
