Tyrone Community Partnership has recently announced that after several long months of waiting, and paperwork wrangling, the organization has officially purchased the Tyrone Social Center from Reliance Bank.
The paperwork was signed, and the keys were officially turned over to the Partnership on Tuesday.
Tyrone Community Partnership would like to specially thank Attorney Ned Newlin for aiding and assisting the organization in acquiring the proper paperwork needed, along with handling the entire closing on the building.
The Partnership would also like to thank Bob Bilger from Reliance Bank, for his patience and commitment to the Partnership, and for Reliance Bank working with the Partnership every step of the way.
Over the coming months and years, the Tyrone Community Partnership looks forward to providing an excellent facility to be utilized by the general public, businesses and local organizations.
The Partnership also has many upcoming events planned and in the works. Starting in August, the Partnership will be holding a smokeless bingo for the general public on a frequent basis. In addition, based off the Partnership’s overwhelming public support and success, it is once again planning the third annual soup tasting contest.
Also in August, the Tyrone Community Players will be holding its annual dinner theater, and the Kiwanis Club of Tyrone will be serving a pancake breakfast. The social center is also being used each month for various wedding receptions, group gatherings and dinners.
The Partnership is taking reservations to host community and private events at the Tyrone Social Center. Located in downtown Tyrone, the Tyrone Social Center can accommodate up to 200 people. Various rooms are available, including a large gathering room that includes a raised 10 by 30 stage, with sound system.
In addition, a full service kitchen, complete with refrigerators, stoves, serving lines and other needed items too can be utilized for special functions. The kitchen is designed and capable of handling both large and small groups.
Special arrangements can also be made to offer and/or supply each event with linens, place settings, wedding cakes, and floral arrangements, along with full-service catering.
