Pre-registration deadline is July 15, and there are limited slots available. The day of the event, registration closes at 9:30 a.m., and games will begin at 10 a.m. If teams pre-register, the cost is $45 per team. Same day registration is $60 per team.
There are several divisions of competition for the tournament including: sixth-seventh grade combined, eighth-ninth grade guys, eighth-ninth grade girls, tenth-twelfth grade guys and tenth-twelfth grade girls.
Open divisions include: all star, competitive, recreational and senior stars (50 years and older).
At the tournament, every player will receive a T-shirt and a minimum of three games, with double elimination.
According to director of Joshua House, Jim Kilmartin, there will be a dunk contest again this year and separate three point contests for adults and teens.
Kilmartin also added that Joshua House is still in need of drinks, hot dogs, hamburgers, ice, water, and other supplies for the tournament. Volunteers are welcome, and referees are needed as well.
Kilmartin said he is expecting at least 60 teams this year. He said it is a great fund raiser for Joshua House, as well as a great community event. Last year, it is estimated more than 500 people visited downtown Tyrone during the tournament.
