Tickets are selling fast for the Sunday, July 18 Tyrone Community Night at the Altoona Curve, and time is running out for those interested in attending.
The deadline date for ordering tickets is Friday, June 25.
Only 1,000 tickets are available for the night, and numerous tickets have already been sold by area service organizations.
Tickets for the game, at $6 a piece, are currently available at the Tyrone Area Chamber of Commerce office, Gardners Candies and Monika’s Cards and Gifts.
There is also a Tyrone Community Night give-away sponsored by JJAN Financial. Those who submit an entry form to the Chamber of Commerce office could win four reserved seats and a VIP parking pass. The drawing date for the give-away is scheduled for Monday, July 5.
Meanwhile, Tyrone Chamber of Commerce members are busy preparing for the Tyrone Community Night at Blair County Ballpark.
The entire evening on July 18 will be focused on the Tyrone area. The game features a 6:05 p.m. start against the Reading Phillies. The first pitch is scheduled to be thrown out by Mayor Patricia Stoner, and after the final out, there will be fireworks.
Area residents who attend the game are encouraged to wear black and orange to show Tyrone spirit.
That is why Tyrone Area Community Night special design T-shirts are now available for the event. The T-shirts are white with a custom designed black logo. Sizes small, medium, large and extra-large are $5 a piece. Sizes double extra large and triple extra large are $7 a piece.
Orders for the T-shirts are due to the Chamber of Commerce office by June 25.
