The Tyrone Area School District is currently receiving Science Screen Report for Kids through the sponsorship of Albemarle Corporation.
This is a seven-program videotape series that brings information on new developments in science, technology, the environment and medicine into local elementary school classrooms.
Science Screen Report for Kids is an award winning, educational videotape series produced for elementary schools with guidance from a panel of dedicated educators. Other programs in the series show how elements combine into compounds, solutions and suspensions; and explore the circulatory system and how bodies create energy.
Programs also study the characteristics of sharks that have allowed them to carry on since before the dinosaurs; discuss the chemical states of matter; eyesight and some breakthroughs in vision research; and reveal how the face and moth function to enable humans to communicate with the world.
