State police in Philipsburg and Hollidaysburg have made arrests in two different cases which both have connections to Tyrone.
Philipsburg-based state police along with Patton Township arrested two adults and a juvenile for several thefts which happened in July.
Twenty-five year-old Nicole Little and 22-year-old Kodi Little, both of Altoona, were arrested after being identified through store video footage at the Wal Mart along N. Atherton Street in State College and at Stormy Corners Store in Stormstown.
Police said the pair entered the stores and purchased items with checks written from a stolen check book belonging to Wayne Bennett, J.R. of Tyrone. Authorities allege the victim’s name was forged on the checks.
The total amount of the stolen items was valued at more than $3,000 at Wal Mart and about $50 at Stormy Corners.
The charges include felony conspiracy to commit forgery and misdemeanor charges for theft and theft by deception. The two adults in case were arraigned before a district justice. A 15-year-old male juvenile involved in the crimes will charged through the juvenile system.
Meanwhile, Hollidaysburg-based police filed charges against Little for her involvement in a theft case in Antis Township.
More than $500 worth of electronic items were from a residence along Belltip Road on Nov. 8 between 3 and 6:15 p.m. Police said the items were taken from the residence of Tammyjo Sessaman of RR 5, Tyrone.
In addition to Little, 24-year-old Timothy Scott Waite, Jr. was arrested in the case. Waite’s address in the police release was listed as c/o Blair County Prison in Hollidaysburg.
Sources indicate both Little and Waite, Jr. have resided in the Tyrone area at one time or another.
