State Police released details last week about a rural Tyrone man who’s been charged with in an April forging incident involving a Bellwood woman.
Forty-nine-year-old Lawrence Willard Morrissey of RD 1, Box 84, Tyrone, was accused of forging the name of the woman on the back of a certificate of title for a car.
State police said the incident happened at J & B Enterprises in Bald Eagle on April 12.
The charges against Morrissey were altered, forged or counterfeit documents and application for certificate of title by agent. The charges were filed at District Justice Fred Miller’s office.

A 20-year-old Tyrone man was involved in a DUI-related accident along state route 4027 in the Grazierville area of Snyder Township on Nov. 17 at 8:20 p.m.
A car driven by Brandon C. Keirs was traveling north on the road and struck a concrete guide rail on the Grazierville Bridge. Keirs was found to be operating his vehicle while under the influence of alcoholic beverages.
State police said they planned to file charges for DUI, underage drinking and other summary offenses.

An Altoona man reported his vehicle was hit while it was parked on Hunter Road in Antis Township between 11 p.m. on Nov. 17 and 11 a.m. on Nov. 18.
Hiles had parked the car overnight and found it had been struck when he returned to the location the next day. The vehicle had minor damage.

A Canadian truck driver and a Tyrone man were involved in a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of SR 1001 at SR 4027 in Antis Township on Nov. 18, shortly after 1:30 p.m. A tractor trailer driven by Claude Tetreault was pulling out from a stop sign in order to make a left turn onto route 1001. A vehicle operated by Charles Sprankle was traveling north on the road and struck Tetreault’s trailer.
Sprankle was taken to Tyrone Hospital for treatment. Police said his seat belt was not in use. His vehicle had severe damage. Tetreault was wearing a seat belt.
State police said their investigation was still ongoing into “as to the causal factors of the crash.”

A Tyrone man was the victim of a criminal mischief incident along Huntingdon Furnace Road in Franklin Township, Huntingdon Co., sometime between 6 p.m. Nov. 18 and 7 a.m., Nov. 19.
Huntingdon-based state police said a vehicle owned by William Issac Markley II had its back window smashed. The perpetrator then fled the scene undetected.
