Mrs. Clara L. Weyer, age 87, formerly of Tyrone and a guest at Valley View Home, Altoona, died Sunday, Nov. 28, 2004 at 6:30 a.m. She was born April 18, 1917 in Lock Haven, the daughter of Claude and Clara Chubb Smith. On Feb. 20, 1936 in Tyrone she was married to Glenn H. Weyer Sr. who preceded her in death on March 20, 2003.
She is survived by a son, Glenn H. Weyer Jr. of Tyrone and a daughter, Diane M. Patterson of Altoona; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Geraldine Wyant of Altoona and was the last of her immediate family.
Mrs. Weyer was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. At one time, she had been employed as a bookkeeper at the Tyrone YMCA.
Funeral services for Clara L. Weyer will be Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2004 at 11 a.m. at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home Inc. with Reverend Charles A. Fitzgerald officiating.
Interment will be in Blair Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. Contributions in her memory may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church, 1200 Logan Avenue, Tyrone PA 16686.
