Enhanced digital images make wonderful gifts and allow individuals to eliminate the clutter of bulky photo albums.
A new area business dealing with digitally enhancing photos is now open to the public. Simple Treasures, owned by Connie Jenkins, is located at RD5 Grazierville, across from Parson’s Garage. Along with Jenkins, family members Jason Jenkins, Mike Shawley and Jayme Jenkins all help out with the business.
Simple Treasures is a small, family business that began with an idea to transform simple photographs into something spectacular, with added effects, transitions and even music. The vision of the company is to “help transform people’s images into so much more by adding personalized meaning to something so special.”
Jenkins works along with her family to bring family photographs and videos to movie-like momentos that last longer and do not fade. They can give old photo albums a brand new look.
Simple Treasures works with an array of projects, including family photos, wedding pictures, memorials and much more. Once the photographs are compiled, they are transferred to a DVD or VHS for the customer to enjoy, at very reasonable rates.
On DVDs, Simple Treasures can take the project a step further by adding chapters that separate special events such as birthdays and graduations.
“We can also add titles to enhance what’s displayed on screen. We can also enhance old pictures to look better,” said Jenkins.
Individuals may also add to a completed project at a later date.
Jenkins added that motion can also be added to pictures to make them more life-like.
For companies, members of Simple Treasures can create business presentations that may be shared with a business or sent out to clients.
Pictures and home videos can be put on the same DVD or VHS, combining many memories together.
“Christmas is coming up and these make a great family gift of past memories that everyone can share,” said Jenkins.
“We want to stress the fact this brings your photo albums to a whole new life-like experience,” she added.
Also available at Simple Treasures is a fax service. The fax service is available to the public during business hours which are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
In the future, the business may start transferring old 8mm film to VHS and DVD if there are enough requests.
Individuals may call 684-0951 with questions or for more information.
