A memorial service celebrating the life of Ronald Elwood Murray, 65, formerly of Altoona and a resident of Germantown, Md. who died January 25, 2005 at Gaithersburg, Md., will be held Saturday, May 21, 2005 at 11 a.m. at the Derman Funeral Home, Inc., Tyrone, with Rev. Norman E. Huff officiating.
He was born May 1, 1939 in Altoona, the son of Elwood and Dorothy (Deeter) Murray. He was married to the former Dale Semidey.
He was an avid outdoorsman and protector of the lands and environment. He retired after 32 years service with the Postal Service and was an Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Murray, daughters Sherry and Michelle, five grandchildren, two daughters-in-law and one son-in-law and several cousins, aunts and uncles.
