Mrs. Mary Pearl Miller, age 59, of Bald Eagle, Tyrone RD3 died Tuesday, June 7, 2005 at 4 a.m. at her home. She was born September 10, 1945 in Taraboro, NC, the daughter of Mary Elizabeth Hale Sawyer and the late Robert Sawyer. On March 22, 1963 she was married to James L. Miller Jr. who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Loren Marie Cornell and a son, Mark Lemonte Miller, both of Fort Myers, FL, her mother of Pineville, LA; four grandchildren: Brittany Miller, Brandon Feltis Cornell, Briana Miller and Matthew Cornell, all of Florida. A sister, Peggy Payne of KY and a brother Wayne Sawyer of Pineville, LA also survive. An infant son, James Lamonte Miller III and a sister, Bobbie Gilbert of Norfolk, VA, preceded her in death.
She was a high school graduate in North Carolina and retired as an office clerk for State Farm Insurance in Fort Myers, FL in 1997 after 20 years service. She had been a 35 year resident of Fort Myers, FL until the Millers returned to PA five years ago. She was of the Protestant faith.
A private service and interment will be held at the convenience of the family. Contributions in her memory may be made to Home Nursing Agency Hospice, 201 Chestnut Avenue, P.O. Box 352, Altoona, PA 16603.
