Shawn E. Waite, 43, of Vail, RD 3, Tyrone died Thursday, July 14, 2005 at 5:02 p.m. at Mt. Nittany Medical Center.
He was born March 20, 1962 in Tyrone, a son of the late Robert L. and Joan (Evans) Waite. On November 11, 1988 at the Bald Eagle United Methodist Church he married Pamela J. Harper.
Surviving is his wife, a step-son Christopher McClellan at home, a step-daughter Jennifer McClellan of Altoona, a step-grandson Chase McClellan, a sister Candice L. Waite of Bellwood, a brother Scott E. Waite of Tyrone, step-father Charles Leach of Grazierville and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister Deborah Waite.
Mr. Waite was employed at Days Inn, State College as a Houseman for the past three years and previously worked at C-COR, Tipton as an Assembler for 19 years.
He was a 1980 graduate of Tyrone Area High School.
Shawn enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and the Dallas Cowboys.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 17, 2005 at 4 p.m. at Feller Memorial Home with Rev. Michelle Somerville officiating. Interment at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Friends will be received at Feller Memorial Home on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. with funeral services to follow.
