Miss Louise H. Snyder, 97, formerly of 1025 Bald Eagle Ave., Tyrone, and recently of Valley View Home, died Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at the Altoona Regional Health System, Altoona Hospital Campus.
She was born February 6, 1910 in Tyrone, a daughter of William Cassidy and Anna (Kneiss) Snyder.
She was a lifelong resident of Tyrone.
She is survived by her great-niece and caregiver, Connie Beals and her husband Steve of RD4 Tyrone and several other nieces and nephews.
She was the last of her immediate family being preceded in death by brothers Fred, Leroy, William D., Oscar, Chester K. and sisters Dora Johnson, Lucy Laird, Pearl Hall, Mamie A. Snyder and Verna Johnson.
She was a member of the Tyrone Church of the Good Shepherd.
She retired from Long’s Dairy Store and was previously employed at Jack Myer’s Restaurant and had worked at the Wilson Chemical Co. for 34 years.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 27, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the Derman Funeral Home, Inc., Tyrone, with Rev. Norman E. Huff officiating. Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.
