The Bellwood-Antis girls volleyball team traveled to Williamsburg for a Wednesday evening match with the Lady Pirates. Bellwood-Antis won three straight games to increase their unbeaten streak for the 2005 season to three.
B-A (3-0) won 25-8, 25-9 and 25-15.
Katie Palmer led the Lady Blue Devils in her first action since a leg injury with 22 assists and six service points. Lauren has 12 service points. Chelsea Wilson added nine service points, including three aces, six kills and two blocks. Lauren Carter had seven kills and Meredith Palmer had eight digs.
The B-A junior varsity also kept their unbeaten streak intact with a pair of wins against the Williamsburg jayvees, 25-9 and 28-26 in an exciting finish to their match. Jannelle led the Lady Blue Devil juniors with four service points and five kills.
The next match for the B-A girls volleyball squads will be Monday, Sept. 19 with a home match against Juniata Valley at 6 p.m.. The varsity will be in action on Saturday in Loretta at the St. Francis Invitational beginning at 9 a.m.
