A 22-year-old Altoona man was injured in a motorcycle accident on State Route 220 North in Snyder Township.
The crash happened when David W. Wilt was operating his vehicle in what police called “a careless manner.”
State police said the motorcycle was being driven on its rear wheel only. Wilt lost control of his vehicle and crashed the bike.
Wilt was wearing a helmet and suffered moderate injuries. His bike had moderate damage.

Huntingdon-based state police released a report earlier this week regarding a burglary and theft at a farm on Dry Hollow Road in Warriors Mark Township.
The incident happened during what police called “diverse” times between Sept. 23 and Oct. 3 on the property of John Gilliland.
During that period, someone gained entry to the victim’s garage/storage shed by cutting a piece of side panel. The unknown suspect also entered an open barn at the rear of the farm. Items such as radiators, stainless sinks, aluminum frames, brass and copper fittings and a torch set with a cart were removed. The suspect(s) left the scene in an unknown direction of travel.
Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the Huntingdon State Police at 627-3161.

A Tipton woman’s vehicle was damaged in a criminal mischief incident on Tipton Manor Road in Antis Township last month.
Police said an automobile owned by Anne Winterstein was parked outside her residence and was last seen intact at 2 p.m. on Sept. 23.
Someone hit the glass on the passenger side smashing the window. Dents were also made in two places on the passenger side door.
The damage was noticed around 7 a.m. on Sept. 24. Police said the damage was estimated at $500.

Two mailboxes were struck during a hit-and-run incident on State Route 1008 in the Village of Skelp, Tyrone Township on Sept. 23 at 8:10 p.m.
Police said an unknown vehicle struck two mailboxes belonging to Robert Lannen and James Lannen.
The driver left the scene without providing any information to the victims.

A pick-up truck driven by 24-year-old Christopher Hedberg of RD 3, Altoona was involved in an accident on State Route 1015 near Ironville in Snyder Township on Sept. 24 at 1:25 a.m.
Police said Hedberg was going south on the road when he failed to negotiate a curve and skidded off the west side of the road.
The pick-up truck rolled onto its roof. Hedberg was wearing a seat belt and was not injured. His truck was towed.

A 43-year-old Tyrone man was arrested on a DUI charge after being stopped for traffic violations on State Route 764 on Sept. 24 at 11:25 p.m.
Police said Randy Estright was found to be under the influence of alcohol. After failing a field sobriety test, he was placed into custody. Upon conviction, Estright faces fines and/or imprisonment as well as a loss of license.
