The public is invited to attend a holiday shopping spree sponsored by the Tyrone Hospital Development Council. The shopping spree involves two upcoming events.
A book and gift fair will be held on Monday, November 21 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. A variety of reasonably priced books and gift items will be available for purchase addressing a variety of topics, including but not limited to best sellers, history, inspirational, crafts and hobbies, gardening, and other “how-to” books, cooking, children’s books and gifts, seasonal items, “coffee table” books, and much more.
A bath and beauty sale will be held at the hospital on Thursday, December 8 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Bath and body products include grooming products and gift sets especially for men, bath and beauty kits for women, fun bath time items for children, aromatherapy sets, spa inspired gift sets, candles, gift baskets, bath salts and bath oils, body lotions and body butters, bath and shower gels.
Both sales will be held in the hospital’s main lobby. Everyone is invited to stop by and shop. Proceeds will be combined with other funds raised by the council to purchase a teleradiology system for Tyrone Hospital. The teleradiology system will allow the hospital to transmit digital diagnostic images, such as CT scans and MRI images, to physicians via the internet. This will give the hospital greater access to physicians who can interpret test results and also provide patient test results more quickly during evening and weekend hours.
