State police investigated the theft of an automobile from Tri Star Motors in Grazierville earlier this month.
A Duncansville man, 57-year-old Richard C. Frye, Jr., was arrested as a result of the investigation. Authorities said he allegedly took a 2002 Ford Taurus from the car lot sometime between Oct. 22 and Nov. 6. They said he switched the keys with a “bogus” set of keys. Frye then used the vehicle for his own personal use until he was apprehended.
He was charged with theft and receiving stolen property. Frye was placed in the Blair County Prison in lieu of bail.

A 19-year-old Tyrone woman was accused of theft after an Oct. 30 incident along Gatesville Road in Grazierville.
Police said Hilary Renee Shutt was charged with theft after allegedly taking $105 from a wallet belonging to 75-year-old Harlyn James Collier of RD 5, Tyrone. Charges were filed at Magisterial District Judge Fred Miller’s office.

An Altoona man escaped injury in a hit-and-run accident on State Route 220, north of Bald Eagle in Snyder Township on Nov. 3, shortly after 6 a.m.
An unknown vehicle was being operated south on 220 while a tractor-trailer truck driven by 42-year-old Ronald Vaugh was north on the road. The unknown vehicle traveled partially into the northbound lane and struck the left-side mirror of the truck. The vehicle fled the scene.

New Enterprise’s Snyder Township location was the scene of an attempted theft sometime between 5 p.m. on Nov. 8 and 4 a.m. on Nov. 9.
Someone cut two locks off a storage trailer along State Route 350. The person then set off a fire extinguisher inside the trailer. The person then left the scene while leaving a battery charger behind. Police were continuing their investigation.

State police investigated a harassment case that happened in Ironville along State Route 1014 in Snyder Township on Nov. 8, shortly before 4 p.m.
The victim, Marli McFall and the suspect, Jesse Rhodes, both of Tyrone, were verbally arguing about a CD that the victim had lent to the suspect. The verbal argument became physical and Rhodes allegedly pushed McFall several times.
