Irene F. Carothers, 55, of Grazierville died Saturday, January 14, 2006 at her residence.
She was born May 10, 1950 in Tyrone a daughter of Charles D. Sr. and Martha F. (Waite) Riggleman. She was married for 25 years to James R. Carothers who preceded her in death on March 29, 2005.
Surviving are a daughter Leslie Riggleman of Grazierville, a son Michael of Grazierville, two grandchildren, Bobbi Jo and Kali Riggleman and two brothers, Leroy Riggleman of Tyrone and David Riggleman of Duncansville. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Jesse, Robert and Charles Jr.
Mrs. Carothers retired on disability in 1999 from Murata Erie, State College and was formerly employed at James Industries, Hollidaysburg. She was a member of the Grazierville United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 17, 2006 at 11 a.m. at Feller Memorial Home with Rev. Michelle Somerville officiating. Interment will follow at Alto Reste Park, Altoona. Friends will be received on Tuesday at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of services.
