Ralph J. Leach, 74, of 930 Decatur Street, Philipsburg, died Sunday, April 27, 2008 at his residence.
He was born August 17, 1933 in Tyrone, a son of the late Clarence E. and Mildred M. (Bryan) Leach.
He was of the Christian faith and was a Navy veteran of the Korean War.
He was employed as a physical plant engineer at the Pennsylvania State University, State College, until his retirement.
On June 18, 1990 in Tyrone, he married the former Jean Greenawalt, who survives.
He was preceded in death by two sisters: Betty and Carolyn Leach and one brother, Clarence Leach.
He is survived by daughters: Theresa Correll and her husband Robert of Oxford, NJ and Karen Leach of Hampton, NJ; step-daughters: Kathy Droll and her husband William of Bigler and Phyllis Greene and her husband Merle of Bigler; sons: Ralph Leach, Jr. and his wife Sylvia of Lawton, Oklahoma, Peter Leach and his wife Susan of Sellersburg, Indiana, David Leach and his wife Vivian of Hackettstown, NJ, Tim Leach of Hackettstown, NJ and Joseph Leach and his wife Shelly of Kaymar, Maryland; step-sons: Harry Jones and his wife, Roseann of West Decatur and Harold Heeman of Jacksonville, NC; sister: Delores Harper of Tyrone; 13 grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; 13 step-great-grandchildren and two step-great-great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 1, 2008 at 11 a.m. at South Philipsburg Christian and Missionary Alliance Church with Rev. Scott R. Hartsock officiating.
Place of burial will be Umbria Cemetery, Osceola Mills.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 30, 2008 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home, 719 E. Spruce Street, Philipsburg and from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church on Thursday.
Military graveside honors will be accorded by members of the Moshannon Valley Honor Guard.
