Myrl E. Wilson, age 75, died on Friday, May 26, 2006 in Austin, Texas where he resided for 25 years. He was an active member of St. John’s United Methodist Church. Myrl was a proud member of many organizations including the Penn State Alumni Association, University of Kansas Alumni Association, National Association for Uniformed Services, Life Member of the Retired Officers Association and Registered Professional Engineers in Texas. He was a Retired Colonel in the United States Air Force after more than 28 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Jane W. Wilson of Austin, Texas; sons, Steve Wilson and wife, Tereasa of Buda, Texas and Tracy Wilson and wife, Doreen and their sons, Zachary and Troy of Jacksonville, Florida; daughter, Carol Callahan and husband, Ronald and their children, Riley, Kelly, Corey and Colter of Cedar Park, Texas; granddaughter, Kristen Ritchie and husband, Travis Brown and their sons, Travis, Gavin and Peyton Brown of Austin, Texas; brothers, Carl Wilson and wife, Mabel and Clifford Wilson and wife, Patricia both of Tyrone, PA.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 2, 2006 at Austin Memorial Park with a memorial service immediately following at St. John’s United Methodist Church, 2140 Allandale, Austin, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions may be made to the St. John’s United Methodist Church Building Fund.
