Earlier this week, state police issued a release on an incident that happened between 2 p.m. on April 17 and 7 a.m. on April 19 at Premier Auto Sales in Snyder Township,
Police said wheels and tires valued at approximately $1,000 were stolen from a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee that was left at the dealership for service.

An Altoona man was injured in a simple assault incident on State Route 4015 in Antis Township on June 4 between 10 a.m. and 10:30 p.m.
Police said Justin Allen Crnarich of Harrison Avenue, Altoona, reported being assaulted by two individuals known to him. Crnarich sustained a head injury as a result of the assault. Police were continuing their investigation as of earlier this week.

A 29-year-old Tyrone man, James Melton, escaped injury after a two-vehicle accident on Route 220, approximately one mile south of State Route 322 in Worth Township, Centre County last Thursday at 8:35 a.m.
Police said Melton’s pickup truck and a car driven by 54-year-old Carol Schurman of Clymer were both southbound on the road when Melton stopped for traffic at a construction zone. Schurman failed to stop “within the assured clear distance” and the front of her vehicle hit the rear of Melton’s truck.
Schurman was wearing a seat belt and her airbag was deployed. She suffered a minor arm injury. Melton was using a seat belt. His airbag did not deploy.
Neither driver was using a cellular phone at the time of the incident.

Several people escaped injury in a two-vehicle accident at the State Route 322/220 intersection with Sunnyside Road in Worth Township, Centre County last Thursday at 4:15 p.m.
The crash happened when 23-year-old Paul A. Campomizzi of Philipsburg intended to turn left onto Sunnyside Road with his turn signal activated. Campomizzi instead made an abrupt right into a vehicle driven by Michael J. Bonsell, which was legally traveling around Campomizzi’s vehicle. According to police, Bonsell was traveling behind Campomizzi’s vehicle, which he believed was going to turn left.
Campomizzi struck the left side of Bonsell’s vehicle with its right front causing disabling damage to both vehicles.
Campomizzi and Bonsell were both wearing seat belts. Two passengers, 23-year-old Andrew T. Lucas of Osceola Mills and 20-year-old Maria L. Walker of Huntingdon, also escaped injury and were wearing seat belts. Police said Campomizzi will be issued a citation that will be filed with a local magisterial district judge.

A Tyrone man, James P. Lingafelt, Jr., was arrested for DUI on Friday at 12:25 a.m. on State Route 220, just south of State Route 322 in Port Matilda.
Police said Lingafelt was arrested after he was found sleeping in his vehicle, which was running at the time. Charges were filed at a magisterial district judge’s office in Philipsburg.

A Port Matilda man was the victim of criminal mischief after an incident about 300 yards east off of State Route 220, across from Loner’s Salvage in Taylor Township, Centre County sometime between 7 p.m. on Friday and 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.
Police said unknown persons arrived on the victim’s property by using an ATV. Once on the property, the unknown person(s) used their ATVs as battering rams, striking an entry door and a large overhead door. The perpetrators did not gain entry and departed the scene in an unknown direction.
