Two 19-year-old Tyrone women escaped injury in a one-vehicle accident on Route 22 in Brady Township in Huntingdon County on June 29 at 10 p.m.
Huntingdon-based state police said 19-year-old Ashley Whitesel of Mt. Union was traveling west on the road and struck large trees in the lane of travel.
After the collision, the vehicle became disabled and Whitesel drifted the vehicle off the road and into a parking lot of a Martin’s store.
Whitesel was wearing a seat belt and was not hurt. Monique Davis and Anna Jennett, both of Tyrone were passengers in the vehicle. They were also wearing seat belts.
The vehicle had moderate damage. The Mapleton Fire Department assisted state police at the scene.

Fireworks were stolen from the parking lot at Bickles Surplus Store along state route 4019 in Antis Township around 1 a.m. on Monday.
According to state police, someone entered the rear of a parked tractor-trailer by cutting off the master lock. The thief then removed some of the fireworks and fled the scene undetected.
Anyone with information on the theft should contact Hollidaysburg state police at 696-6100.

A hit-and-run accident occurred on Monday between 2 and 6 p.m. on Interstate 99, north of the Bald Eagle exit in Snyder Township.
An unidentified driver was approaching the Bald Eagle exit and failed to make the turn and struck a sign and a piece of portable equipment on a closed construction road.
The vehicle was described as a 1991 Mercury Topaz and had moderate damage.

State police investigated two theft cases on the Fourth of July in Antis Township.
The first one happened sometime between 12:01 and 8 a.m. along Grazierville Road in Tipton. Someone forcibly entered a vehicle belonging to 26-year-old Jerry Lynn McCahan, Jr. of Tyrone and removed cash and a knife and then fled the scene.
In the second incident, someone entered a vehicle belonging to Maryann Diveglia of RR 5, Tyrone while it was parked in the rear of the Tipton Baptist Church in the parking lot.
A camera, a CD case and a carton of cigarettes were taken from the vehicle. Police also said the car was damaged during the break-in. Anyone with information on the theft and criminal mischief should contact state police in Hollidaysburg at 696-6100.
