The Saint Francis University Small Business Development Center has scheduled pre-business planning seminars for August 2006.
The free seminars are for people who are interested in opening and operating their own business.
The following are the scheduled dates for August:
• Thursday, August 3, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the ABCD Board Room, Devorris Center for Business Development, 3900 Industrial Park Drive, Altoona;
• Friday, August 18, 9 a.m. to noon at the Bedford County Chamber of Commerce, 137 East Pitt Street, Bedford and
• Wednesday, August 30, 9 a.m. to noon at the Saint Francis University SBDC, 117 Evergreen Drive, Loretto.
Topics to be discussed are feasibility issues, marketing, recordkeeping, business plans, legal issues, regulations/taxes and financing.
