The Bellwood-Antis cross country teams hosted Bald Eagle Area and Juniata Valley on Tuesday, and both the Blue Devil boys and girls came away with a pair of triumphs.
The Blue Devil boys bounced Juniata Valley 15-50 and edged Bald Eagle Area 28-31 to improve to 3-1.
The Blue Devils strength was their depth with all five scorers finishing in the top top 10 overall.
Jamie Rimmey was the first B-A runner to cross the finish line with a third place overall finish in 19:27, closely followed by Cooper Campbell, who was fourth in 19:54, Garett Wyland, sixth in 20:06, Tyler Hunter, eighth in 20:22 and John Wolfe, who rounded out the top 10 in 10th place in 20:34.
Alex Klinger of Bald Eagle Area, won the race in 18:45 and Juniata Valley’s top runner was seventh place David Lamberson in 20:17.
The Lady Blue Devils’ Kelley Killinger won the girls’ race in 22:39. Sarah Bell was third in 22:45, Emily Derr was seventh in 23:15, Emily O’Shea was ninth in 24:19 and Becca Colyer was 12th for B-A girls, who also improve 3-1 with the double victory. Stahlman of Juniata Valley, was second ion 22:42 and the top runner for the Bald Eagle Area girls was Passarelli, with a fourth-place time of 22:46.
The Bellwood-Antis cross country team will participate in the Lion Invitational on Saturday at Fort Roberdeau, beginning at 10 a.m. and host Tyrone and Bishop Guilfoyle on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
